On behalf of Dunboyne College we would like to thank the employers who have given our students work experience. The work experience module is a core module for all students, and so the provision of work experience allows our students to satisfy a course requirement and also learn about a particular industry and improve their skills.

Insurance and Garda Vetting

All students are insured under the Louth and Meath Education and Training Board Insurance policy for the duration of the placement.

Work Placement Exclusions

Garda Vetting is also completed where students are in a placement involving working with children and vulnerable persons.

New Employers

If you are an employer and would like to provide work experience for Dunboyne College students please get in touch. We are always looking to create links with local businesses. Our students are available for placement during the week and also over the mid-term and Easter breaks. Work Experience placement is unpaid.

Recruitment Employers can discuss their specific recruitment needs with the college. Potential employers contact the college on a regular basis to advertise job vacancies. Advertisements are circulated to the relevant courses and applications are sent directly to the employer for their consideration.

Student Scholarships

Employer are also encouraged to participate in our scholarship scheme. The scholarship covers the fees for a student on a course relevant to the employer’s industry. Employers can, in conjunction with the college, participate in the recruitment and selection process. Further details are available from the college.
