WHAT IS THIS COURSE?
Senior Trade/Level 6 Hairdressing course provides on and off-the-job intensive training in the advanced skills required for working in the hairdressing industry. Successful participants will gain a Senior Trade qualification from the Department of Education and Skills as well as some QQI Level 6 component awards. Hairdressing Senior Trade will allow you to work in a salon, spa or as a sales representative for hairdressing products.
Opportunities for graduates include employment on cruise liners, airlines, media and work abroad. Modules include: practical areas like: Fashion Cutting and Styling, Advanced Colour Selection and Consultations, Advanced Permanent Waving, Barbering Techniques, Maintenance of Tools, Creative Styling. Hairdressing Theory would involve: Hairdressing Science, Principles of Colour and Perming, Business Management, Image Processing and Work Experience.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
One of the following

Level 5 QQI Award in Hairdressing (or equivalent) in a related course

Proficiency in Computer Skills

Applicants with relevant work experience will also be considered

For Mature Applicants (aged 21 or over) – appropriate experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
All applicants will be interviewed regardless of previous qualifications.
