WHAT IS OFFICE ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATION AND
INFORMATION PROCESSING?

This one-year course in office administration offers students the opportunity to gain varied and invaluable skills which are required to work in the exciting area of business and office administration roles. Students will develop competencies needed for working in various business environments, such as payroll, book-keeping, spreadsheets, restoring, retrieving and processing information, along with text production and word processing.

  • QQI Level 5 in Business Administration 5M2468 or Information Processing 5M2067

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

This course will suit those who require a more flexible route to progression either in education or employment. Graduates are well placed to apply for degrees at Level 7 and 8 in Universities and IT’s or private colleges throughout the country. These include TU Dublin, DCU, UCD, Maynooth, Dundalk Institute of Technology, Carlow IT, Athlone IT, DBS and many more.

Students may progress to Level 6 awards in Dunboyne College of Further Education. Many will gain employment directly on completion of the course within the office administration and business sectors.

  • Leaving Cert or LCA
  • Mature students of all backgrounds
  • Other equivalent qualification
