First Point of Contact
Sexual violence, sexual harassment, & image-based sexual abuse
Patrice Byrne (Psychology Teacher), serves as a First Point of Contact at the college for addressing disclosures of sexual violence, sexual harassment, and image-based sexual abuse.
Patrice has undergone specialised training with Galway University and the Galway Rape Crisis Centre, equipping her with the necessary skills to handle these sensitive disclosures.
She is present on campus daily and welcomes students at any time to report not only the aforementioned issues, but also any behaviour or language they find inappropriate and detrimental to their feeling of safety within the college.
